Use Yoga to Ward Off Knee and Hip Surgery

More people than ever are getting hip and knee replacements to give them back the ability to walk painlessly again.

The surgery has progressed considerably over the years and the success rate is extremely high. Advances are being made constantly with surgery for hip replacements seeing patients leaving the hospital after a couple of days. Even with knee surgery they get the patients using their ‘new’ knees the next day.

With the latest technology the surgeons use laser alignment to make sure that the legs are aligned as well as possible to reduce the chance of problems and the need for further surgery later in life.

While this is all well and good for those people who have already been afflicted with degeneration of the knees and hips there is a better way to ensure that you will be less likely to need this type of surgery in the future.

That ‘better way’ is yoga. With the way that yoga helps to align the body you will be doing naturally what the surgeons attempt to do when they perform hip or knee replacements and that is to bring about the alignment that can cause these problems.

Yoga poses and exercises will eliminate the problems earlier and there will be less chance of damage to the joints that occurs from them not being aligned correctly.

As we are constantly using our knees and hips everyday the constant action of the joints moving in an unaligned manner rapidly causes irreparable damage and the necessity for replacements.

People can develop these problems of alignment very early in life and also from injuries that have occurred so the sooner yoga exercises are used on a regular basis the less chance there will be of permanent damage as these alignment problems will be resolved early on.
